Could you tell us a little bit more about yourself and what made you start the business?

 

I showed some early promise at music, so that was the direction I was encouraged to follow. But to tell the truth, whenever I was in a lecture, maybe learning about Bach or Vivaldi, my mind was always drifting away to the fabric of the lecturer’s dress, or the colour of her shoes.   After a professional cello’ career and a full-time mum to two boys – now in their teens,  I began to doodle again and this has quickly become a full-time design job!

What inspires your work?

 

I have very eclectic taste and my head is always buzzing with ideas.   It could be a Monet or a fabulous building.

What is the most important thing for you in your business?

​

To provide a sense of joy and beauty.

A little story or an anecdote you would like to share?

 

I once walked into a well-known design house and began to create a display of work in the reception area uninvited...

The Head designers checked me out and fortunately did engage and commission me!
