This is not about being cheap, but instead being creative and resourceful with the things you already have. A bedroom is probably the most essential room in your home where you would want to have that luxurious, relaxing vibes, simple because it's the first thing you see when you wake up and it's the last thing you see just before flying off to "la-la land".
Remember that time when you stayed in a nice hotel room, and it looked super neat, lush and put together. I will use it as an example and give you a few quick tips on how to revamp your bedroom to a beautiful comfortable hotel room without having to spend a dime.

10 FREE, Easy Ideas to Make Your Bedroom Look More Expensive:
1. Get Rid of Unnecessary Furniture
Get rid of any furniture that doesn't serve the purpose and leave only the essential pieces. By doing so it will not only make the room look more classy, having less distraction for your eyes and brain, it will also make you feel calm, and you'll have more energy to focus on your daily routines.
2. Iron Your Bedding
Iron your bedding. I know this is not the most exciting task, but believe me, it will take a few minutes of your time, and still make a massive difference. Save yourself a few extra minutes - forget about the inner bits and iron only parts of the bedding that are visible ;). Take a look at the 15 Eco- Friendly Bedding Picks For Healthier Sleep.
3. Reduce the Number of Cushions/Pillows
There is really no need to have half of your bed covered with cushions and pillows. There's a thin line between looking like a high-end combo and messy cloud.
If you have a slight cushion obsession, I don't blame you (I've been there too). But if your goal is a minimalist luxurious bedroom, I'm sorry, but you'll need to get rid of a few pieces and leave only a few that complement each other in shape or colour.
4. Spray the Room With an Inviting Scent
Nothing says luxury more than a beautiful yet calming smell of bedroom. You could either spray your linen with your favourite fragrance or lit a candle just before sleeping - for a full luxury spa experience. I find if you spray your linen while you iron, the smell last longer.
5. Choose Soft Lighting
Turn off your white and bright ceiling light and set the mood with a bedside lamp that has warmer subtle lighting. It will instantly make you feel calm and relaxed.
6. Add Greenery
Get a couple of real plants. Having a hotel bedroom vibe is a great thing, but you still want to make it feel warm and cosy like someone actually lives there. Placing the plants somewhere you can see them as soon as you wake up is a great way to jazz up the space.
7. Increase Natural Light
Open those curtains and maximise the natural light. It will make the room will feel airy and bright, and believe or not - much cleaner.
8. Keep it Clean and Organised
When did you ever walk into a messy room and think wow that looks amazing, wish I could live here! It's all about making small steps like getting into the habit of making the bed as soon as you get up. Now that we only have left only functional furniture and decor, it should be pretty easy to keep things organised and decluttered.
9. Symmetry is The King
Symmetry is probably the most straightforward ninja hack. Even if you skip all the other steps, just by placing things like artwork, lamps, bedside tables in a balanced, symmetrical way, you nailed it!
10. Hang the Artwork
Adding a minimalist artwork is a great way of making your bedroom look more like a grownup and put-together. If you have a large piece of art, great! If not, you can still make a beautiful gallery wall with your favourite photos. Try to stick with the same colour scheme if you can.
You don't have to do all of it to achieve a luxurious looking bedroom. If you had to choose the two, I would suggest ironing the bedding and decluttering, but at the end of the day, it's really up to you and what makes you happy.
